Green fingered pupils at Braehead Primary School in Bridge of Don and Brimmond Primary School in Bucksburn have received kits to help them look after their blossoming gardens.

CALA Homes (North) provided the schools with a donation of gardening equipment and accessories including spades, soil rakes, leaf rakes, watering cans, hand forks and trowels and pairs of gloves.

Lesley Gardner, Acting Head Teacher at Braehead Primary School, said: “We have been encouraging our nursery pupils to help plant beautiful flowers at the Nursery entrance and the kit from CALA will help them to continue to look after it.

“Our pupils love spending time in the garden and it’s a fantastic way for children to learn new skills, have fun and develop self-confidence.”

Emma Gelati, Marketing Manager for CALA Homes (North), said: “We’re delighted to be able to gift these kits to two local schools on the doorstep of some of our developments and hope the children enjoy using the new equipment.

“Creating beautiful places to live is at the heart of what we do and we hope the pupils get the same satisfaction from keeping making their gardens lovely places to spend time.”

CALA at Grandhome in Bridge of Don is located close to Braehead Primary School while work has begun on an exciting new development in Craibstone which is situated near Brimmond Primary School in Bucksburn.
