Beattie has looked after corporate and consumer PR for RBH, the UK’s leading independent hotel management company, since 2014, adding an events remit in 2018.
Working as an extension of the company’s marketing team, we undertake a significant scope of work across B2B and B2C PR and events for the company’s diverse collection of more than 45 branded and private label properties – working with some of the hotel sector’s most prestigious brands, including IHG, Hilton, Accor, Marriott and Wyndham.
PR for the business must be carefully managed to achieve various objectives, with corporate PR supporting the non-consumer facing side of the business to help generate new and support existing owner and brand relationships, and consumer-focused PR to promote each individual property within the RBH portfolio.
Whilst the corporate and consumer PR requirements differ, they are not mutually exclusive and must all tie in and support the ultimate objectives of raising awareness of RBH as an expert in third party hotel management, whilst also driving footfall to each property to maximise returns for owners.
A comprehensive programme of activity takes place on an ongoing basis – including overarching consumer campaigns to bring the RBH name into the mainstream media, spotlight and bespoke support for each hotel to not only create a constant stream of coverage, but to also generate significant return on investment in support of specific commercial business needs.
The consumer side is supported with a wide spectrum of activity, including influencer and media engagement – both at a brand and local hotel level - to secure property reviews, event management, regular press releases and e-alerts covering employee and hotel milestones, award-winning stunt-led activations, CSR activity and social media support. From dog weddings to promote wedding fairs, to transforming an airport hotel into a first-class departure lounge to celebrate its launch – we’ve done it all.
We undertake a comprehensive opening and launch PR and events plan for each new hotel joining the portfolio, and ensure key senior members of the team are profiled by offering comment on the most talked-about industry topics – from employer branding to portfolio development and everything in between.
Over the years, our activity has been instrumental in raising the profile of RBH within the industry, supporting its business development and employer branding objectives and its overall growth strategy, as well as achieving consistent ROI for individual properties across the extensive portfolio to benefit and ensure continued awareness of each hotel.
